Some people seem to have problems understanding the Merit System. I will give you some easy understandable info about how to use the Merit System properly.
Who can use the Merit System?
This is easy. You need to be Level 170 or higher. Your Honor Rank does not matter, but being HR 10+ would be good (will explain later).
What is the Merit System?
The Merit System is an expanded bonus system for the Mission War. You will be able to increase your Merit Score every TG.
How do I get Merit Score?
You need to Report Evaluated Medals. This can be done at the Mission War NPC in the Mission War Lobby or at the Mission War NPCs in DS(Procyon) or GD(Capella).
How do I get Medals?
They are a reward of the 170+ TG/MC. Depending on the score you get medals:
100 score – 1 medal
151 score – 2 medals
251 score – 3 medals
401 score – 4 medals
601 score – 5 medals
What are the types of Medals?
Common Medals are gained from the NPC by exchanging Tickets. You can evaluate this medal 4 times. Level 1-8 are possible.
Glittering Medals can be created by using the “Evaluation Order” on a Common Medal. The evaluation order is a cash shop item. You get 4 orders from a chaos box. Glittering Medals will always have an evaluation result of Level 4 or above. But they can be evaluated only 2 times compared to the Common Medals.
How do I get Merit Points?
Merit Points are granted after you gained a certain sum of Merit Score. At the start you get one Merit Point for every 50 Merit Score, then after 60, 70, 80 with time. So it will always get harder to receive new Points, spend them wisely. You get them after reporting a Medal.
Do I get Honor with the Merit System?
The answer is yes, but only if your character is Honor Rank 10 or above. Once a Medal is reported you receive a certain amount of Honor. The honor displayed in the Report Window will be granted to all characters on your account, depending on their current Honor Rank. So try to have all chars on your account on HR 10+.
What can I do with Merit Points?
You are able to spend them on a big variety of new abilities. Those abilities can be used is Mission War and they All are passive. After you reached a certain level on one category of abilities(there are four categorys) you can buy the “Expanded Ability” which will then unlock the ability outside Mission War too. Open the skill tree with “Shift + R”.
How is the evaluation done?
After you purchased a Medal from the NPC you can put it into one of the five slots of the Evaluation window.
Common Medals can be evaluated 4 times, the other medals just twice. The Inital Evaluation costs 50 Wexp, all others 25. You can not report unevaluated medals, so you need to spend at least 50 wexp per medal. Once you pressed evaluated the levels of the medals will start to change. As soon as the yellow balls do not move anymore, the evaluation is done. You can then decide if you want to keep the result, or if you want to go back to the old result (this is the right button, see picture). Only keep the result if it is better or equal to the previous level. You can not see anymore which level the medal had before once the evaluation is done. So keep the level in mind. An easy way to do this is by only evaluation the medals one by one, or by evaluating for example all lvl 3 medals at once.
Where do you need to press?
See the picture below, it explains all:
The NPC shop sells the Medals which can be evaluated after.
The location of the Medals is different in Mission War, it is at the bottom there.
Finally here is a little video showing all the stuff in action:
